UX Platform Team

With App Refresh project in 2019, I started to step up in leading project and leading a team. Really focus myself on honing leadership skills and exploring another profession track - people management. My passion always lies to making impact to the product. The most fascinating part I found in leadership is that you have a group of people working together to achieve the common goal. Set up a great environment, team culture and vision.

My Leadership Principles

Crafting A Shared Vision

Co-creating the vision with the team and embedding the vision into operations. Always reflecting back to maintain focus and alignment around the vision. Breaking down vision to roadmap and delegating ownership.

Bringing People Together

Forging relationships and building trust with your core team. Engaging beyond your core network. And supporting and developing individuals.

Unlocking Potential

Knowing your people and their stretch goals. Identifying opportunities and filling the gaps. Setting an example for your team fostering freedom and autonomous so all can lead.

Co-create the team vision with members

Only when you involve the the team in the process and have them feels empowered and part of the journey, then you can start unblocking the team’s potential and have them feel ownership. Also being a leader we have to share our challenges and have them become partner of the solution.

Rolled out the design language with 50+ designers

We designed a series of educational workshops to help designers onboard. The team ran 20+ workshops to provide training on design language, components, and patterns. This also then turned into an official onboarding session new joiners need to attend. Eventually accelerated the adoption rate on product and level up designer’s system thinking.
